Delete your until. account
This page is for until., the persistent-reminder app for Android (package com.until.app). It explains how to delete your account, what is erased, and what is kept and for how long.
Deleting is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period and no undo, so if you want a copy of your data, download it first (see Download your data first).
In the Android app
- Open Settings in the bottom bar.
- Tap Account.
- Under Signing in, tap Delete account.
- Type your account email address to confirm, then tap Delete my account.
- Tap Delete forever. The account is erased and you are signed out.
A Google Play subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account. Play bills your Google account, not ours. Cancel it in Google Play (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions), or Play will keep charging you.
If you cannot sign in, or no longer have the app
Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account”, from the address your account is registered with if you still can. We need to be sure the request comes from the account’s owner, so we may ask you to confirm it from that address before anything is deleted. We delete the account with the same erasure the app uses and reply when it is done. You can ask for a copy of your data the same way.
What is deleted
Everything attached to your account, at once:
- Your profile: email address, display name, password hash or Google sign-in link, language, time zone and notification settings.
- Every task you created, with its schedule, notes and full reminder history.
- Your voice notes and attached images and PDFs. The files are removed from storage right after the account goes.
- Comments you wrote on shared boards, and the nicknames you gave people.
- Your devices and push tokens, your Telegram link, every sign-in token and session.
- Your calendar display settings. Calendar events themselves were never uploaded; they stay on your phone.
- Your AI assistant records: usage counters, the actions you confirmed, and any replies you reported.
- Feedback you sent from the app, your referral code and bonus days, and our copy of your Google Play subscription status.
Families and shared workspaces
- A household you own is dissolved. If you are a member of someone else’s, you leave it, and tasks they assigned to you are archived.
- A workspace you own is handed to its longest-standing admin, or else its longest-standing member. If nobody else is in it, it is deleted with its contents.
- Workspace tasks assigned to you go back to the people who created them. Other people’s own tasks and histories are theirs and are not touched; where a shared record pointed to you (who invited whom, who ticked an item), the link to you is cleared.
What is kept, and for how long
- Database backups. We take one backup of the database each night and keep the last 14, on our server and in Cloudflare R2 storage. Older ones are deleted, so your data is gone from backups within 14 days of deletion.
- AI assistant chat. Conversations are not stored in the database. Recent turns are held in memory for 15 minutes and unconfirmed drafts for 30 minutes, then expire on their own.
- Waitlist. If you joined the waitlist on this website, that entry is separate from your account. Its link to the account is cleared but the address stays until you ask us to remove it.
- Google Play. Google keeps its own records of purchases and subscriptions under Google’s terms.
- Product analytics. Only if you switched analytics on in the Android app: events sent to PostHog (EU) carry an internal account id, never your email or name. When your account is deleted, our server asks PostHog to delete that person and its events too.
- Email delivery logs. Emails we send (sign-in codes, invitations) go through Brevo, which keeps its own delivery logs, including your email address, under its retention terms.
- AI assistant provider. The assistant calls Anthropic without storing anything there under your account; whatever Anthropic retains from those requests is governed by Anthropic’s own retention terms.
- Error reports and server logs. Error reports (Sentry, EU) are configured to leave out personal data.
Download your data first
In the Android app: Settings → Account → Your data → Download my data. You get one JSON file with everything we store about your account. Once the account is deleted there is nothing left to export.
More about how we handle data: Privacy. Questions: [email protected].
